General Education Transportation
Bellevue Public Schools prides itself in providing safe, secure, and reliable transportation for all eligible students. The professional drivers assigned to the Transportation Department receive ongoing classroom and hands-on training in transporting students to and from school in the safest manner possible.
Transportation Eligibility
Elementary: Any student whose address is within their school attendance boundary and resides 2 miles or more from that school is eligible for transportation.
Middle School: Any student whose address is within their school attendance boundary and resides 2 miles or more from that school is eligible for transportation.
High School: Any student whose address is within their school attendance boundary and resides 4 miles or more from that school is eligible for transportation.
Pick-Up and Drop-Off Procedures
A student’s pick-up and drop-off location can be found using the My Ride Link located under the Transportation Schedule. This information will be available approximately 1 week before school starts.
- Pick Up: Please have your student at their prescribed stop five minutes before their scheduled pick-up time. The bus will wait one minute past the scheduled pick-up time and then proceed on.
- Drop Off: Due to numerous factors affecting drop-off times (number of students riding, weather, loading issues, traffic, etc.), it is difficult to accurately predict what time your student will arrive home after school.
* Please note that the locations and times are subject to change. It’s recommended to check this information periodically leading up to the first day of school.
Attendance
If your student does not ride the bus for 3 consecutive weeks, they will be removed from the attendance list. It is recommended that you contact Transportation to notify them if/when your student will start to ride
again.
